Painful Nostalgia

 I try to be grateful. I try to remember the wonderful times. To be thankful for what we had together.

But that doesn't help any more than remembering the horrifying end times.

Remembering the good times hurts, too.

There are times when I am overwhelmed, but I have worked out a system with the kids on how to signify that to them, and what to do about it (another example of, well, problem-solving).
